According to www.by-the-sea.com, Anaconda was designed by Phil Ellsworth and built in 1887 by C & R Poillon in Brooklyn, NY. It was owned by John H. Prague of the Atlantic Yacht Club. They write: "Prague was president of the clubhouse plans for the Atlantic YC. Also owned Crocodile."From the List of Merchant Vessels of the United States: Anaconda, cutter, document number 106494, 32.25 gross tons, 30.64 net tons, 51.3 feet in length, 18.0 feet in beam, 7.3 feet in depth of hold, wood hull, built in 1887 at Brooklyn, NY with a home port at New York, NY. <Thanks to Bob Birmingham.>
