"Chispa" means "spark" in Spanish. There is only one sailing vessel named Chispa listed in the 1896 List of Merchant Vessels of the United States, a sloop yacht built in 1889 at Brooklyn, NY. Its official number was 126709, call letters KJDW, 17.58 gross tons, 16.71 net tons, 44.5 feet in length, 13.8 feet in beam, 8.6 feet in depth of hold, wooden hulled, with a home port at New York, NY.
