One reader writes: "The yacht Embla belonged to John Hanan. They were the first family to mass produce shoes in this country on a large scale. Additionally, he was Vice - perhaps even Commodore - of the Atlantic Yacht Club. The Hanans lived in Belle Haven and for several generations were actively involved in the racing at Indian Harbor Yacht Club."
