

The 116'-long steam yacht Jathniel was built in 1889 by Atlantic Works in East Boston, Mass.
During 1889 - 1900 it was owned by Daniel S. Ford (owner and editor of the Youth's Companion magazine) and its homeport was Marblehead, Mass. By 1902 it was owned by C.M. Pratt. By 1911 it had been renamed La Belle, and its new homeport had become Cleveland, Ohio.
