Judge was formerly called Marietta. It was designed by Henry J. Gielow and built in 1893 in Wilmington, Delaware.
The 1895 List of Merchant Vessels of the United States lists a steam yacht named Judge, previous named the Marietta, official number 92543, call letters K.L.S.P., steel hull, 74.73 gross tons, 42.50 net tons, 100.2 feet in length, 16.1 feet in beam, 8.2 feet in depth of hold, built in 1893 by Pusey and Jones at Wilmington, De., with a home port at New York, NY. <Thanks to Bob Birmingham.>
