One reader writes, "[I] found [an] article confirming the yacht Loyal as being on the 'Hen and Chickens' rocks in Captain's Harbor. As trivia - the plate is reversed - which is what was throwing us off."
According to www.by-the-sea.com, the 79', 47-ton schooner yacht Loyal was built 1893 by C&R Poillon in Brooklyn, NY. It was designed by H. J. Grelow.
According to the February 1897 issue of Outing magazine, Loyal measured 65'.
