According to one reader, Paprika was owned by Sherman Hoyt. She writes: "I think that is a very young picture of C. Sherman Hoyt. He is mentioned in one of the news articles as being a very young man of considerable talent. He went on to race with Vanderbilt on Rainbow and has been credited with successfullly defending the America's Cup from Endeavour when we were down two races."
