

According to the March 1890 issue of Outing magazine, the 3rd-class schooner Sea Fox was designed and owned by A. Cass Canfield Esq.The 1890-91 American Yacht List lists the 115' iron schooner Sea Fox, designed by A. Cass Canfield and built in 1888 by Harlan & Hollingsworth Co. in Wilmington, Del. It was owned in 1890-1 by Alanson Tucker of Boston.
The 1896 List of Merchant Steam Vessels of the United States lists Sea Fox as a 96.5' schooner yacht, built in Wilmington, Del. in 1888 with a 1896 homeport of Boston.
The 1906 Lloyd's Register lists the 115' schooner, designed by A. Cass Canfield and built in 1888 by Har. & Hol. Co. of Wilmington, as owned by Dallas B. Pratt of New York. (Dallas B. Pratt was listed as Commodore of the New York Yacht Club in 1913.)
