According to the August 1896 issue of Outing magazine, Vorant II was owned by G. G. Tyson. The November 1897 and Sept. 1898 issues of Outing states that George G. Tyson still owned the 34' Vorant II. The September 1895 issue of Outing names Vorant II's owner as George I. Tyson.The 1906 Lloyd's Register lists a 47' cutter Vorant II built by Charles Olmsted in Bay Ridge, Long Island in 1895, and owned in 1906 by George J. Bascom of New York.
